Eco Park in Spring Lake is launching a new Storybook Trail on September 8, 2026, at 5:30 PM. 

 

Giving families a short, self-guided walk that follows Sammy, a baby sandhill crane, through Florida’s wetlands while teaching simple ways to care for local habitats.  

 

The free trail features page‑by‑page story panels, reflection prompts, and practical stewardship tips that highlight how clean water, healthy plants, and protected spaces support wildlife.  

 

Designed to build early literacy and strengthen community connection to nature, the project reflects the Spring Lake Improvement District’s commitment to conservation.  

 

Families, see how wetlands support life, from tiny insects to iconic sandhill cranes and how thoughtful stewardship protects these environments for future generations.
