Drainage

Without proper drainage systems, most of Spring Lake would be uninhabitable. The Spring Lake Improvement District utilizes various systems to maintain the canals and ensure that flooding is controlled. The pump station, originally built in the 70's, is the backbone to our flood control and is maintained on a daily basis. Major upgrading and renovations close to $1 million have taken place in the last several years.. Tours of the pumping station are available by contacting the District Office and making a request. The pump station is located in a Restricted Area and the public is prohibited from access.
