A number of residents, as well as our District Office, have been out of phone service for the last several days. We have reached out to Century Link and they told us that there is a systemwide problem in the Lake Placid and Spring Lake areas. Unfortunately, they have no timetable to solve the issue.
Residents having any issues can stop by the District Office until the phone issue gets solved. We are trying to transfer calls to 655-1715 to other staff members, but the calls might not always go thru. We do still have internet, so e-mails can come through.
We apologize for this situation, but we have no control on correcting it. Our office is converting to Xfinity by the end of this month and we feel confident we will have less issues with both our phone and internet service with the high speed fiber optic.
